Service Engineer (Seals)

As a Service Engineer at AEGIR-Marine, you are the trusted expert to our customers. You solve problems and deliver the quality service we stand for, whenever and wherever it is needed.

About your work

Once your training is complete, the world becomes your workspace. Your role includes:

  • High-quality service on seals and propulsion systems, independently or as a team.

  • Acting as the face of AEGIR-Marine and supervising local shipyard personnel.

  • Frequent travel to shipyards and vessels worldwide.

  • Working with top-tier equipment, developed in-house or sourced from our fixed suppliers.

As a Service Engineer, you will work hands-on with all major seal and propulsion systems, both on board and in shipyards. Our independent position means you are not limited by specific brands, giving you the freedom to act as a true troubleshooter.

Job requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or comparable by experience) in mechanical engineering

  • You are self-reliant and very service-and customer-oriented.

  • You work independently, are flexible and eager to travel.

  • You're a good improviser and you are inventive. You think in terms of solutions.

  • You are communicative, pleasant to work with and have good interpersonal skills.

  • You have a good command of the English language, both orally and in writing, Spanish would be a plus.

  • Experience in shipping is an advantage.

  • If applying from outside of the US, having a US visa would be preferable yet not an obligation.
