Service Engineer (ATLA Propulsion Controls)
- Remote
- Wijk bij Duurstede, Utrecht, Nederland
Functieomschrijving
For one of our group companies, we are looking for a Service Engineer. In this role, you will primarily work for ATLA Propulsion Controls, while benefiting from the opportunities and stability offered by an established group of companies. Applications can be submitted either through AEGIR-Marine or directly via ATLA Propulsion Controls.
IMAGINE THIS
Traveling the world, visiting giant shipyards, various vessels. With a background in electrical engineering, that’s exactly what you can expect as an Electrical Service Technician at ATLA Controls. We’ll provide the training you need. Oh, and by the way — it pays very well too.
YOUR MISSION
When electronic systems go down, we step in. Once you're on board, you become the go-to expert for propulsion control systems. You might be swapping out a circuit board one day or solving a complex signal issue the next. Sometimes it’s a straightforward hardware replacement; other times, you’ll be doing some serious troubleshooting, diving deep into the software. In short: some jobs are quick fixes, others are full-on detective work. You’ll handle service assignments both on-site and back at our workshop.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Diagnose electrical and technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Install new electronic systems for clients across the globe.
• Keep accurate records and reporting of your work.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
For a full-time position, you’ll get:
• A competitive gross salary between €3,500 and €4,500 per month, based on experience — plus overtime pay that can boost your earnings by up to 30%. • Full reimbursement of travel, accommodation, food, and drink expenses.
• Flexible working hours.
• 36 days of paid vacation.
• A company car for both business and private use.
• A company laptop and phone.
• Friday afternoon drinks and company events.
• Career growth opportunities — think senior service technician, service coordinator, sales engineer, or technical consultant.
Vereisten
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
• Independence — you’ll often work solo, so you need to be confident in making decisions.
• Flexibility — when you’re not traveling, you’ll be on standby (we'll explain how that works during the interview).
• Good English skills — it’s our working language.
• At least one year of experience as an electrician, service technician, or electrical service engineer.
• A valid driver’s license (Category B).
WHO YOU ARE:
You’re a natural communicator who knows how to explain technical problems clearly and calmly — whether to a client or a teammate. You’re patient, practical, and no one can easily throw you off course
