At AEGIR-Marine, the specialist in stern seal solutions and services for maritime propulsion systems, we are looking for a Propulsion Parts Specialist to strengthen our team. We are a trusted partner in the global shipping industry, with offices worldwide, including the Netherlands, Singapore, China, Australia, the USA, Panama, Dubai, and Namibia. 

YOUR ROLE 

As a Propulsion Parts Specialist, you are responsible for managing the full process of delivering both standard products and customer-specific adaptations within agreed lead times and quality standards. Acting as a crucial link between the Global Parts Support, purchase and sales, you collaborate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders while aligning with classification societies. 

You contribute to improving internal knowledge and communication around propulsion parts and support regional teams and internal departments with quotations and order handling. You also manage technical product databases and propulsion-related overhaul sets in our system Sales Manager. 

Your responsibilities include 

  • Define and maintain technical product databases for propulsion parts. 

  • Prepare standard spare parts sets with associated data. 

  • Independently handle procurement in collaboration with the purchasing department. 

  • Define propulsion-related overhaul sets and ensure proper configuration. 

  • Increase internal knowledge levels regarding propulsion parts. 

  • Support sales in quotation and order processes. 

 

Your Profile 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (HBO+ level) or equivalent professional experience 

  • Strong technical insight and service orientation. 

  • Accurate in both advice and administrative tasks. 

  • Solution-oriented thinking aligned with organizational goals. 

  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English. 

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across teams. 

  • Flexible and decisive, even in uncertain or high-risk situations.
