To further strengthen our presence in North America, we are seeking an Area Sales Manager to develop and expand both new and existing client relationships, working closely with our network of local agents. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape our commercial growth in the maritime sector. 

 

Your role 

As Area Sales Manager, your purpose is to strengthen and expand AEGIR-Marine’s client base across the region North America, in close collaboration with local agents. You will be responsible for driving turnover across our full service and product portfolio. 

 

Your responsibilities include 

  • Developing and executing regional sales strategies and budgets; 

  • Engaging new clients while maintaining strong relationships with existing ones; 

  • Supporting local agents commercially and technically; 

  • Monitoring market and competitor developments; 

  • Leading acquisition efforts and following up on quotations; 

  • Collaborating with Internal Sales Engineers and Service Coordinators on complex quotations; 

  • Sharing and leveraging networking contacts across regions; 

  • Managing and preventing client claims; 

  • Providing functional leadership to the regional team; 

  • Ensuring client satisfaction through proactive service and communication.

You are a committed and commercially driven professional with an understanding of the maritime industry. With a genuine passion for supporting ship owners and operators, you thrive in client-facing roles where building trust and long-term relationships is essential. Guided by transparency, service, and reliability, enabling you to work effectively both independently and as part of AEGIR-Marine’s regional team. 

 

To be successful in this role you bring: 

  • Already have experience (5 - 10 years) in sales within the maritime or technical services sector; 

  • Understand customer needs and market dynamics and know how to position AEGIR-Marine’s product portfolio; 

  • Can guide clients through complex quotations and negotiations by applying clear legal and financial insight; 

  • Communicate with clarity and impact, by using strong presentation and negotiation skills to build trust and long-term partnerships; 

  • Put the client first: always acting with transparency, reliability, and a commitment to quality service; 

  • Bring energy and accountability, ensuring promises to clients are followed through and results are delivered; 

  • Combine energy, accountability and teamwork, taking ownership while contributing to shared success; 

  • Remain flexible and proactive, you are open to change and continuous improvement; 

  • Are willing to travel extensively (50%+) across North America to be present and available for customers where they need you the most.
